Our Story

A Dream Rooted in Tradition

The Homestead Collective LLC was founded by Christina Zordan, whose love for small-town charm and handcrafted goods began long before this dream became reality.

Growing up, Christina often visited family friends in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, many of whom owned their own small shops. She loved helping stock shelves, work the register, and take on any task that made her feel part of the action. Those early experiences planted a lasting appreciation for local craftsmanship, community connection, and the joy found in sharing simple, meaningful goods.

Over the years, Christina’s passions for gardening, canning, cooking, homemaking and gathering with family and friends grew stronger, and so did her dream of creating something that combined those loves. After many years in the corporate world, she finally decided to pursue that dream — and The Homestead Collective was born.

Based in Litchfield County, Connecticut, The Homestead Collective features a thoughtfully curated selection of premium olive oils, balsamic vinegars, jams, spices, specialty pantry goods, dried florals, and home items. Every piece is sourced from U.S.-based makers and family-run shops whose dedication and craftsmanship shine through in every detail. A large portion of the collection comes from Lancaster, Pennsylvania — a community that remains dear to Christina’s heart and feels like home, rooted in skill, care, and handmade tradition.

As you enjoy the flavors, textures, and simple comforts of the pieces we bring to Connecticut, we hope you’ll feel the same warmth, pride, and authenticity that inspired their creation. Our collection will continue to evolve and grow as we connect with new artisans and share their stories with you.
